Their mindset is \u2018limited\u2019, and we miss \u2018out-of-the-box\u2019 creative development ideas. Is that an entrepreneur mindset? Clearly, not.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Copying another successful app idea cannot bring the same success as the original one. According to Singh, \u201cWhy would I download another dating app that is almost similar to Bumble and Tinder, when I know that the crowd will be the same everywhere?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Singh continues further and tells &#8211; \u201cI have tried and tested various apps and all of them have 90% same crowd. Eventually, I stopped using these apps 1 year ago. Nothing new. The same matching algorithms.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Key_Takeaway\"><\/span>Key Takeaway<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Founders must start thinking out of the box and leave the idea of \u2018copying\u2019 other apps. A new dating app business like yours should turn its weaknesses and threats into its strengths and opportunities.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, a dating app must exploit the existing opportunities at the earliest to outshine the competition and engage users.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here we would like to quote Eric Ries, the renowned American entrepreneur and blogger, who mentions in one of his best-selling books, \u2018The Lean Startup\u2019, \u201cThe only way to win is to learn faster than anyone else.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Dating_App_Development_With_Features_That_Real_Users_Want_India\"><\/span>Dating App Development With Features That Real Users Want (India)<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We surveyed 50 real users working in our organization, and asked them to interview 5 real users they know in their cousin and friend circles. This way, we were successful in surveying <strong>250 real users,<\/strong> such that we had <strong>125 <\/strong>male and female participants each.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"800\" height=\"419\" src=\"https:\/\/ezulix.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5255\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ezulix.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image-1.jpeg 800w, https:\/\/ezulix.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image-1-768x402.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/ezulix.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image-1-150x79.jpeg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This survey was not only interesting but also provided some eye-opening data that every aspiring dating app owner must know. Based on the survey answers, here\u2019s what we found:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"1_No_More_Tinder-Like_Dating_Apps_Please\"><\/span>#1 No More Tinder-Like Dating Apps Please&nbsp;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Out of 250 users, 180 (72%) admitted that they do not want another Tinder or Bumble. Users are tired of swiping the same audience on both apps. Both apps provide a similar User Experience-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Matches based on Distance, Location, and Lifestyle Interests like food habits, drinking habits, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In-App chatting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unmatch anytime<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Verification tick (but both apps verify the user name and photo against the user ID. Intentions of the users remain unverified.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Users&#8217; expectations have grown further, and they want solutions to genuine problems.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_Match-Making_Not_Aligned_with_Expectations_%E2%80%98Imagination\"><\/span>#2 Match-Making Not Aligned with Expectations &amp; \u2018Imagination\u2019&nbsp;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Singh interviewed her relatives and cousins, and she came up with a unique problem. She tells \u2013 \u201cMany users have accepted, and even I agree with them that matches are based on either physical traits like height, or the location, or lifestyle, or hobbies and interests. But finding attractive matches is a problem.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Singh further added, \u201cNo offense to anyone, it is just a matter of personal choice, preferences, and subjectivity. I promise these thoughts have directly come from the real and potential users. And even I face the same issue when I use any of such apps.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On condition of not revealing their names, out of 50 in-house participants, 30 agreed with Singh. Including Singh and 2 of her references, a total of 33 out of 250 users (13.2%) have accepted that they want to get matches that seem good as a couple.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"3_Matches_Based_on_Life_Values_Not_Just_A_Couple_of_Filters\"><\/span>#3 Matches Based on Life Values, Not Just A Couple of Filters&nbsp;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The biggest key finding of this survey that stole the whole limelight was that 240 out of 250 participants, that is, <strong>96%<\/strong>, have admitted that they no longer want matches based on hobbies and interests. Rather, they want serious matches that align with their life values.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Values such as emotional maturity or intelligence (EQ), long-term partnership intent or short-term casual relation intent, family orientation, career vision, religious or spiritual alignment, humanity, compassion, honesty, etc., matter a lot for users, and they want genuine matches based on such values.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"4_Cheat-Guards_%E2%80%93_What_If_The_User_Can_Know_the_Loyalty_Level_Without_Stalking\"><\/span>#4 Cheat-Guards \u2013 What If The User Can Know the Loyalty Level Without Stalking?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Out of 250 participants, 120 females (96% of females) and 125 (100% of males), that is, a total 98% of the participants show disappointment and fear of being cheated on.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One female user tells \u2013 \u201cI find various matches, and I am in the habit of talking to one match at a time. I guess most of the females use dating apps that way if they are seeking a genuine partnership.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, I often find male users online most of the time. In place of talking to one match seriously, they pass the time with multiple girls and talk to various girls simultaneously.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another female user reported that \u201cIt often happens that you start talking to one guy on a good note. A few days, things go great, but soon the guy either ghosts you or unmatch suddenly.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A male user tells &#8211; \u201cFemale users also ghost male users once they find a better match. Basically, no one is serious. On such apps, users have so many options that they are always in the \u2018hope\u2019 of finding \u2018better\u2019.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thus, 98% of the users agreed with our survey team that they would like to have \u2018cheat guards\u2019 on dating apps. Basically, an option to auto-updated or manually update a status such as \u2018hooked\u2019 can help establish trust among users and filter the \u2018available\u2019 crowd.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"5_Behavioural_Pattern_Analysis_%E2%80%93_Matches_Based_on_%E2%80%98Seriousness_Level\"><\/span>#5 Behavioural Pattern Analysis \u2013 Matches Based on \u2018Seriousness Level\u2019&nbsp;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Users working in our organizations are technologically aware. 38 out of 50 (76%) of such users state that with the help of behavioural pattern analysis, an AI-driven predictive modeling technique, businesses may plan to build smart apps.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dating apps that can analyse, think, and act can be very beneficial for the users.
